Ravens Secure AFC North Title With 35-10 Victory Over Browns
The Baltimore Ravens clinched their second consecutive AFC North title with a decisive 35-10 win over the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. Quarterback Lamar Jackson threw two touchdown passes, surpassing 4,000 passing yards for the season, while running back Derrick Henry added a 43-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Jackson completed 16 of 32 passes for 217 yards, finishing the regular season with 4,172 passing yards and 41 touchdown passes. He also contributed 63 rushing yards on nine carries. Henry, in his first season with the Ravens, rushed for 138 yards on 20 carries, totaling 1,921 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns for the season.
The Ravens' defense was also instrumental in the victory, with an interception returned for a touchdown. This performance secured the Ravens the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoffs, ensuring at least one home game in the postseason.
Head coach John Harbaugh praised his team's resilience, noting their ability to overcome early-season challenges and finish strong. "It's awesome, it's an awesome thing. It's a week-to-week league, and you really just have to take it one week at a time, one day at a time, one play at a time, and our guys have done a really good job of holding on to that," Harbaugh said.
Looking ahead, the Ravens are focused on their upcoming playoff matchup, aiming to build on their strong finish to the regular season. Jackson emphasized the importance of maintaining their momentum as they prepare for the postseason challenges.
