Ravens Secure AFC North Title With 35-10 Victory Over Browns
The Baltimore Ravens clinched their second consecutive AFC North title with a decisive 35-10 win over the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. Quarterback Lamar Jackson threw two touchdown passes and surpassed 4,000 passing yards for the season, while running back Derrick Henry added two fourth-quarter touchdowns, solidifying the Ravens' dominance.
Jackson completed 16 of 32 passes for 217 yards, finishing the regular season with 4,172 passing yards and 41 touchdown passes against just four interceptions. He also contributed 63 rushing yards on nine carries. Henry, in his first season with Baltimore, rushed for 138 yards on 20 carries, including a 43-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. He concluded the regular season with 1,921 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns.
The Ravens' defense was equally impressive, starting the game with an interception returned for a touchdown by cornerback Nate Wiggins. The defense also forced two turnovers, including a fumble recovery, and limited the Browns' offense to just 10 points.
With the win, the Ravens secured the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoffs and will host a first-round game against either the Los Angeles Chargers or the Pittsburgh Steelers. This victory also marked the Ravens' fourth division title under head coach John Harbaugh, who expressed pride in his team's resilience.
The Browns, on the other hand, finished the season with a 3-14 record, leading to potential changes in the offseason. Quarterback Bailey Zappe, who became the Browns' 40th starting quarterback since re-entering the NFL 25 years ago, completed 16 of 31 passes for 170 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
As the Ravens prepare for the playoffs, their recent form, including a four-game winning streak, positions them as strong contenders in the AFC. Fans and analysts alike are eager to see if Baltimore can carry this momentum into the postseason and make a deep playoff run.
